Hello! I’m Melissa and I’m one of the co-owners of Married to a Trucker. My husband and I have been together for over 10 years and married for almost 8. We have a beautiful 5 year old daughter. When my husband began trucking, I searched the internet for resources for trucker wives and found very few results. That’s where the seed of Married to a Trucker was planted. I’m very active on an online message board and felt that the sisterhood of that site would be a great resource to a trucker’s wife. A fellow member of the board had recently became a trucker’s wife so together we created Married to a Trucker. I'm Jacque, Co-Founder Married to a Trucker. I am proud to be married to an OTR trucker. I've been married to my trucker since June of 2004, although we've been together since 1997. When he first told me he was planning on driving a truck, I was beside myself with questions and worries. After lots of searching on the web, I found Melissa at another message board and we started sharing our experiences. I truly felt that a website like this would be a wonderful resource and a great source of support for women like us, living a lifestyle so many people don't seem to understand.
